October full of stars: Famous birthdays of film and music legends
Artists who managed to change the world of music and film, and we all know their names.
October is a month full of strong personalities. From charismatic Libra to passionate Scorpio - geniuses, artists and visionaries are born. Sting, Lennon, Roberts, Jackman or Mortensen... Each of them left a mark that will not fade.
Not all of them are here, I'm sure I forgot or overlooked a few great ones - but definitely not on purpose! 😉

Sting
(October 2, 1951) – a man who looks like he's drunk the elixir of youth. Founder The Police, author of legendary hits Every Breath You Take (Yes from Ronin Hood) or Fields of Gold. He sings about love, peace and the fact that nothing is taken for granted. His first wife was the Irish-born actress Frances Tomelty (1976-82) and since 1992 he has been married to the actress and producer Trudia Styler, with whom he has four children. They also have, among others,. They founded a foundation to save rainforests and are very active in other charitable activities.
John Lennon
(October 9, 1940) – musical visionary, poet, rebel and the man who gave us Imagine. You can feel the spirit of an era in his songs that no one will ever repeat. From 1975 to 1980 he lived in seclusion and took care of his son Sean. Shortly after the release of his comeback album "Double Fantasy" he was murdered in NYC (December 8, 1980).

Hugh Jackman
(October 12, 1968) – a charismatic Australian who could be tough Wolverine, a romantic duke in Kate and Leopold and the musical magician in To the greatest showman. A man who can melt even the coldest of souls. In November 2013, Hugh Jackman announced that doctors had removed his basal cell carcinoma, the most common type of skin cancer. A few months later, he underwent another procedure. At the film premiere X-Men: Days of Future Past appeared with a bandaged nose and urged fans via Instagram not to forget sunscreen when in the sun. ☀️

(October 17, 1972) – a brilliant lyricist who brought pain, truth and humor to rap. Who among us hasn't listened to it at least once? Lose Yourself, Let him throw the microphone! 🎤 And what about the title song for the movie? Venom!
Viggo Mortensen
(October 20, 1958) – our fearless Aragorn, who would walk through Mordor barefoot for his friends. Elegant, profound, thoughtful – simply the soul of a warrior and a poet in one.

(October 22, 1952) – a man who could read the phone book and you would still listen to him with your mouth open. An eccentric, charming, eternally young scientist from Jurassic Park i Independence Day….AND A FLY 😮
Julia Roberts
(October 28, 1967) – eternal Pretty Woman. A smile that lights up half the planet, and a charisma that never ages. Oscar for Erin Brockovich it just confirms that beauty can also be smart, courageous, and human.

(October 5, 1975) – the legendary Rose of Titanic. An actress who is not afraid of emotions, and a woman who follows her own path, far beyond the boundaries of Hollywood.
Gwen Stefani (October 3, 1969) – the band's unmistakable voice No Doubt, a fashion icon who remains eternally young.
Jožo Raj (October 24, 1954) and Your name is Patejdl. (October 10, 1954) – two gentlemen who gave us a piece of childhood, youth and the Slovak soul. The water that keeps me afloat is a song that simply cannot age.
Jean-Claude Van Damme (October 18, 1960) – the man who could do a split between two trucks and still smile. 😎
Snoop Dogg (October 20, 1971) – a style, voice and flow that simply never gets old. „Smoke weed everyday“ – no comment.

Bill Gates (October 28, 1955) – a visionary who rewrote the history of computers. We may envy him a little, but without him we wouldn't be online today.
Pavel Travnicek (October 26, 1950) – our Cinderella Prince, dubs in most of Alain Delon's films, but has also lent his voice to, for example, Mel Gibson, John Travolta and Alan Aldo. In 2023, he announced the end of his artistic career. He formulated the reasons briefly and harshly: „"The media massage of recent years was one of the reasons why I stopped enjoying public life. I simply closed the door behind me. It was disgusting. If all those 'magicians' and 'media terrorists' knew what the rest of the world thought of them, they might commit suicide."‚
Karel Hermanek
(October 17, 1947 – August 24, 2024) – a charismatic actor who has made an indelible mark on Czech film history.
