January and February: When the kidneys cry for help
The kidneys have their own language. And we? We usually ignore it completely! Fatigue? „"That's age."“ Hip pain? „"I guess I got blown away."“ Cold feet? „"I just have bad circulation."“
TCM – TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE
But then I came across traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and it told me straight: „"Girl, your kidneys are screaming and you're deaf!"“ So here I am, sitting in January, with a mug of birch tea, and it finally clicked.
The Kidneys Are Not Just a Filter, They Are the "Gateway to Life"„
This is what took me the longest to understand. The kidneys are not just some little water purifier in your body. They are reservoirs of your life force. In Chinese medicine, they are called Ming Men – The gateway to life. They affect everything: our vitality, memory, hearing, bones, and – hold on – even sexual energy.
Have you noticed that when you're exhausted, your back hurts and you lose your appetite for anything (including sex)? (I have to say, I'm fine, so my kidneys are probably in top shape! 😉). But if you're running out of names and thoughts, it's not a coincidence. It's your kidneys saying, "Hey, I need some maintenance!"„

Winter is their number one enemy
January and February are the months of the bladder and kidneys. Right now, when it's the coldest outside, these organs need the most warmth. While we're running around in thin jackets, our kidneys are literally shrinking with fear. Because Fear is their emotion.. Anxiety and feeling cold are more harmful to the kidneys than a poor diet.
My tip: The magic of warm salt
It sounds banal, but it works wonders. Heat salt in a pan, pour it into a cloth bag and place it on your hips. On the first day you will say to yourself "pleasant warmth". On the third day you will wake up with energy that you have not had in months. No coincidence, just a recharged battery!
What do kidneys love and what kills them?
| They love (Goddess recommends) | They hate (Watch out for that!) |
| Heat (woolen sweaters, warm socks) | Cold from below (short jackets, cold benches) |
| Warming food (thick broths, buckwheat, lentils) | Late night meals (stop after 8pm!) |
| Black sesame and cranberries | Low emotions (envy, anger, fear) |
| Harmonious relationships | Urinary retention (girls, REALLY don't do this!) |
If you carry old anger or envy inside you like rotten potatoes in a basket, it will poison you. Transform it! Use anger as a motivation for change, fear as a protector. Don't let it rot inside you.

Herb Corner (My "Holy Four")
- Nettle: The indomitable rebel. A 14-day drinking cure will cleanse you so that you will feel like a new person. But be careful, then pause!
- Birch: If I had to choose one herb, it would be birch. It cleanses the kidneys, relieves swelling, and helps with hair.
- Horsetail: According to healer Janči, we should drink it every day from the age of thirty. It supports bones, joints, and even prevents Alzheimer's. Important: You have to boil it for at least 20 minutes to release the silicon!
- Goldenrod whole: The king of kidney herbs. It dissolves stones and treats inflammation. When I feel tired or my back hurts, I take a tincture and there is peace.

Cordyceps: The Secret of the Fungus That Looks Like a Caterpillar
And now for my favorite "caterpillar." The Chinese have been using it for over 2,000 years. It's a fascinating parasite that provides incredible qi.
Why love her?
- Boosts immunity and lungs: Ideal for asthma and cough.
- Brings back the will to life: If you procrastinate and don't feel like doing anything, your kidney soul (ZHI) is calling for help. Cordyceps will bring back your drive spark!
- Rejuvenation: It restores skin and vitality. It's like anti-aging in a capsule.
Attention: Even though the EU and its Regulation 1924/2006 have not granted Cordyceps a single health claim (hypocrites!), we know our stuff. Just don't take it if you are taking immune-boosting medications or have inflammation in your digestive tract where it "burns".
In conclusion: Be kind to yourself.
Girls, get some sleep, love each other and forget about that coffee with alcohol now❣ Your kidneys need peace and warmth. Don't wait for "science" in a hundred years to confirm what we big girls have known for a long time.
Yours, Daniela
Do you have birch leaves at home? Or have you ever tried kidney salt? 💚
