A brilliant mathematician and hero of World War II, Alan Turing<\/a>, cracked the Enigma code \u2013 and yet ended up being hunted. Let's remember his legacy, his tragic end, and the power he left behind for the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On June 23rd, we celebrate the birthday of this extraordinary man<\/strong><\/h2><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Imagine a man who shortened World War II by an entire year. years<\/strong>, saved millions of lives, and yet was betrayed by his own country after the war. This is the story of Alan Turing \u2013 whose ideas laid the foundation for what we now call a \u201ccomputer\u201d. Without him, there would be no smartphone. Maybe not me, and certainly not Tony! Mathematics, logic, a pioneer of computer science and\u2026 human courage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The man who cracked the Enigma<\/strong><\/h2><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Do you know what the Enigma cipher is? During World War II, the Nazis used it for secret communication. No one could break it \u2013 except Turing. In the humble conditions of Britain's Bletchley Park, he led a team that built the first cryptographic computer<\/strong> in the world. His name was Bomb<\/em> and accomplished what people thought was impossible \u2013 decipher encrypted German messages<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u23f3 The result? According to historians, the war was shortened by 2 to 4 years<\/strong>. And the number of victims decreased by millions<\/strong>.<\/h4><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Imitation Game \u2013 a film that moved the world<\/strong><\/h2><\/div>\n\n\n\n

If you don't know Turing's story, film \"The Imitation Game \"<\/a> (The Imitation Game<\/em>) from 2014<\/strong> will bring it closer to you. He excels in the lead role Benedict Cumberbatch<\/strong> (aka Dr. Strange \ud83d\ude09), and shows not only mathematical fervor, but also humanity, sensitivity and the tragic fate of a man who was different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83c\udfac The film won an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay and other nominations, including Best Picture for Cumberbatch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alan Turing was a homosexual. At a time when it was illegal in Britain, he was sentenced to life in prison for his sexual orientation. chemical castration<\/strong>Two years later, in 1954, he was found dead \u2013 he was poisoned by cyanide<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next to his body lay bitten apple<\/strong>, allegedly laced with poison. And now be careful \u2013 according to speculation it was symbolic inspiration from Snow White<\/strong>, his favorite movie. A fatal piece of the poisoned apple. \ud83d\udc94\ud83c\udf4e<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The death was officially reported as suicide<\/strong>, but the circumstances remain a subject of debate to this day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Churchill said, "Never in the field of human conflict has so much been owed to so many by such a handful, and I mean a handful smaller than the number of members of the RAF?" <\/h4><\/div>\n\n\n\n
