What are its effects on the body and how to avoid its excessive consumption?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-advanced-heading uagb-block-ca04080e\"><h2 class=\"uagb-heading-text\">Is sugar as addictive as drugs?<\/h2><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a study by Serge Ahmed from <strong>the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS)<\/strong> Sugar is capable of inducing a similar addiction to hard drugs. In the experiment, rats were given a choice between sweetened water and intravenous cocaine. Surprisingly, most of them chose the sweet water, even after prior exposure to cocaine.
